Baby's growing and mama's getting older
Last week little John had his 2 month checkup and his stats confirmed what I've known all along--this kid is getting huge! He now weighs 13 lbs 4 oz (81st percentile), he's 24.5 inches long (94th percentile), and I can't remember exactly how big his head is, but it's big (90th percentile or so).
I can already tell he's going to be a daddy's boy, he always smiles and giggles when John changes his diaper--thank goodness for weekends!
It was my birthday last Friday and though I'm slightly depressed over the fact that I just turned a whopping 27, it was still a great day. Thanks for all the calls, emails, cards, etc. Michelle and Helen came to visit and it was so fun to see Helen with the little kid. Here she is getting some practice for her own little bro soon to come.
Is it sad that I get more excited about getting presents for my little man than I do myself? (though I have to admit I'm thrilled with the green hoodie John got me!) 
And last but not least, my mom gave us a bumbo seat at the Cannon fam shower for little dude last week. I'd seen them around and assumed they were one of those useless baby contraptions, but I have to admit I LOVE it! I can't help but laugh at the way he sits in it but at least it seems to keep him pretty happy!

Little John is getting so big and ADORABLE! Thomas has a bumbo too and loves it...although his legs are now getting to fat to fit in it anymore. Courtney, I'm a total dork and wished you happy birthday a day early... I guess I just wanted to be the first one :)! We love you guys!
Bumbos are awesome! He's so cute, Court! I'm glad you're surviving motherhood. Sometimes I wish there was just a manual for it - but it doesn't exist and truth be told, every child is different! I'm sure you're a fantastic mom and little John is one lucky dude! I'm coming home in June for a few weeks and would love to get together! I think we should plan a little gathering and just invite a bunch of people from the good ol' highland days. It'd be a great time!! Happy belated Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day. Being 27 isn't that bad. I've been it for almost five months now and it seems to be an okay age!
I'm looking at your blog with Emma and she keeps trying to touch John's pictures and wave at him. I guess she knows him already! Happy birthday, so nice. I hear ya about getting presents for your kids rather then yourself, if just means you don't have to go buy it! Nice... I want a BOB... haha.
He is SO CUTE!! Tucker has the same bumbo..same color and everything! John looks a little happier than Tucker does most of the time in it. He still can't quite hold his head up long enough to get comfortable! John looks way happy in there!! He is so so so cute. You look great Court and we can't wait to visit you guys next time we're in SLC! PS tell Michelle hi for me!!!!
Forgive me for feeling little sympathy for a 27 year old. When you get REALLY old like I am, we'll talk! It was sure fun to see you the other night.
Bumbos are like the best invention EVER. And your little man is so darling I wish I could hug him and kiss him all over his sweet little cheeks!
