We went to Classic and let the kids go crazy on all the bouncy toys and let me just say that little J could not get enough of the slides. I was one worn out mama! I haven't been to Classic since probably elementary school when we had our all-night sleepover there for Josie H's b-day (anyone remember all that drama? 30+ preteens & no sleep=lots of cat fights & tears).
Here are my parents with the 4 kids in the classic fireplace portrait.
Then last week we headed down to St. George for John's sister Amy's farewell before she left on her mission to Uruguay. We had a fun weekend jam-packed with lots of yummy food, ice-skating (St. George's newest, busiest attraction), family pictures, a wonderful church meeting, a busy open house (I couldn't believe how many kids this girl knows!), and we just had a blast letting the kids play. I was a horrible picture taker, but here are a few snapshots...
No, he did not fall and bump his head on the ice. He just has a perpetually bruised forehead. My best attempt at getting the 3 amigos, Johnny was not cooperating.
But I got tons of cute shots of Josh, and aren't those matching outfits darling?
It's taken us all week to recuperate since little J has now decided it's not cool to take naps and he immediately stands up and tries to climb out of his crib. And that his new favorite games are 'lets pull the food off the table just as mom is ready to serve dinner--goodbye cafe rio salad' :( and 'lets figure out how to open the drawers and cupboards WITH baby proof locks or pull those little safety gadgets out of the electrical sockets and stick things in them'. Wow I never knew being the mom of a toddler would be so busy. I guess I need to learn some patience before my kids grow up and start talking back to me or take off with the car without asking and all that stuff that I am SO not prepared for. Just thinking about disciplining a teenager makes me a little more grateful for the toys, books, and random objects scattered every 2 inches all over our entire house.

haha. I hear ya courtney, yeiks I don't even want to think about raising a teenager. Man, we really need to get our little dudes together. I have a feeling they'd love to play. Looks like you guys have been having a ton of fun!
I feel so out of it, I have never even heard of Classic, where is it? It looks like a ton of fun. Reading about all the electrical outlets gave me a terrible feeling in my stomach, it is amazing how quickly you can forget how terrible certain stages were, but they do grow out of it eventually.
So fun to see updates! Toddlers are awesome, aren't they?! Those Classic Skating memories are hilarious...oh, and happy birthday last weekend, hope you guys had a great day!

Josie Henderson's birthday party will forever live in infamy! I totally remember that night. I fell in love with Mariah Carey's song, "Hero" that night, too. Oh, the funny things we remember!
