Canada, eh?
About a month ago we took a little vacay with John's parents and sisters Amy and Lisa. We flew up to Seattle, traveled around the rain-forests and coastlines of the Olympic peninsula, took a ferry over to Victoria, Canada where we enjoyed the lovely Butchart gardens and quaint harbor, took another ferry over to Vancouver and then drove the beautiful, windy road up to Whistler. There's no way to condense everything we did into one blog post, but here are more than a few of the highlights:

This was taken right before the zebra put his entire head inside the car--man do they have big, nasty teeth!
Um, it was just a bit freaky that the only thing separating us and those big Kodiak bears was that wimpy fence. I think I fed those suckas at least a half a loaf of bread because I sure didn't want to be around any hungry bears!

We did this amazing zipline in Whistler--it was actually a series of 5 different ziplines connected by suspension bridges hundreds of feet in the air. There's nothing like flying down a 2,000 ft line, hanging upside down over a raging river, while dropping 20 stories! The pictures don't quite do it justice.

Bubba was such a good traveler, well except for the drive up to Whistler where he screamed his head off and probably traumatized Amy and Lisa who were trying to console him in the backseat. I think little J actually did better than big J and myself when we drove from Whistler down to Long Beach, WA (which is about the furthest south and west you can get in the entire state). Probably not the best planning in the world but it was worth the long drive.

That all looks like so much fun! I'm pretty sure Marcia and John will have traveled to every country in the world within the next 5 years. Haha...they travel everywhere! I'm glad you had fun!
