Fun on the 4th

Oh, yipee! Look how much fun I'm having! We dragged little J to the Real Game/firework show on Friday night and despite keeping him up WAY past his bedtime he was a great sport. The first time we took him to a soccer game the loud noises were so upsetting that I spent over half the game walking around the stadium with him in the baby bjorn. But this time he did much better and I promise he was much more entertained than he looks in this picture.

I wish I could have caught his facial expression during those first couple firework blasts, by the time I got this picture he was already getting used to the whole boom-flash thing!

On another note, what's up with this kid wanting to stand all the time? I can barely get him to bend at the waist--getting him to sit is like trying to bend a 2x4.

UNLESS of course he's sitting in his new little chair graciously donated by one of our neighbors!

And on a very, VERY different note...here's what happens when we clean out the garage and find funny hats for bubba! Poor kid, it looks like we're training him to be a beekeeper or something!

Finally, I just had to post this picture because it makes him look really grown up. Could it be that, *gasp*, he really is growing up? Nope, can't be. I'm making sure he stays a baby forever!
